Navionics will again be part of our team at Operation Reel Heroes. Sponsoring our event since it’s inception 4 years ago, we appreciate the support. Navionics is a leader in marine electronic charting, most of our fleet has Navionics chips in our GPS electronics, using their technology to find fish and stay safe on the water. Our 4th annual event will be held on June 8th – 9th. Once again we hope to have more than 200 people attending on the second weekend in June. Please stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
Each year Operation Reel Heroes holds an auction during the event. All the proceeds go into hosting our veterans and their guests for our annual event held on Cape Cod and are tax deductible. The auction will open online on Saturday, May 27, 2017, and end on Saturday June 3rd at 7:30 PM during our banquet in Hyannis. You may bid on any item on line or in person at the banquet as many times as you like. Online bidders must first register with us here on our website. All winners will be notified Saturday evening on the 3rd.

I’m sure most of you understand what goes into a program like Operation Reel Heroes, but considering some of the bad press of some nonprofit organizations are getting these days, Arthur and I would just like to let everyone know about how we use donations made to Operation Reel Heroes.
First off, 100% or every dollar goes into the event itself. Everyone involved in Operation Reel Heroes including Arthur, Paul, our families, Boat owners, crews, and support staff, volunteer their time and a lot more. Many of us take it a step further and donate to the cause with product, services, and cash to help put this great event on. Like all the great people we have working with us, we all enjoy this event immensely.
This is our third year hosting this event. The people we have met, all of them wounded in battle fighting for our way of life, are all incredible people, many of whom have become lifelong friends with our volunteers. The appreciation shown by our guests for allowing them to step out of their world even for just a couple days is overwhelming. This has truly been a life changing experience for me and many of our volunteers.
So, if you have donated to our event, thank you for helping us do this. If you are thinking about it, you can rest assured that all your tax-deductible donations go directly into helping put on this event for so many extraordinary people.

If you would like to see our veterans off on Saturday morning June 3rd, boats will be leaving from Bass River Marina and passing under the Rt 28 Bridge from 5:30 to 6:30 AM and from Smuggler’s Boat ramp and heading out the mouth from 6 to 7 Am.
We’re looking forward to a packed house where we’ll give out some hardware and auction off some great items. Not to mention all the great food and drink!

On Friday June 2nd our captains meeting we at Sundancers followed by a meet and greet as our crews get aquainted with their guests for the next day’s fishing event. Looks like we’re going to have a great crowd!
We have 40 boats signed up for our 2017 event!
We sold out in two days! More than three quarters of the fleet from last year signed up for another event. It’s awesome to see so many people step up and volunteer for such a meaningful event. Looking forward to seeing everyone in June!
We are still taking registrations from anyone interested in getting involved. We already have a wait list started for boats. We do our best to get any volunteer involved.
